We just started taking our dogs to this vet because they both have health issues that conventional medicine has not been helping with. Unfortunately, Holistic vets are close to non-existent no matter where anyone lives, and Dr. Paula Medler is the only one in Tucson accepting new clients, so I can't compare medication pricing in order to give a good answer on if theirs is reasonable or not. She is willing to take on hard to deal with dogs as long as they're muzzled (and possibly on gabapentin, maybe even trazadone as well if they are extremely bad). Sometimes putting an old towel or blanket over the dogs head while they're being examined will calm them down as well. She did well with our PACC dog that had previously been abused and is scared to death of men he isn't familiar with. She started him on TCM herbal medication, which although still hasn't completely fixed his problem, does seem to help

Dr. Paula and her team are incredibly attentive and compassionate. They take great care of the animals and make us feel comfortable asking questions, always answering them patiently and without rushing. They never recommend unnecessary tests or services and genuinely focus on helping both pets and their owners. We always feel that our pet's well-being is their top priority.

I don't usually write reviews, but after today's visit I felt like I needed to. From my very first appointment, everyone at this office has been so welcoming and kind. I actually remember another client walking out as I was arriving for my first visit and telling me how much I was going to love this place. He was right. As a new puppy owner, I've had a lot of questions. I do a lot of my own research and tend to be pretty conservative when it comes to treatments and healthcare decisions. Dr. Medler has always taken the time to answer my questions and provide information without ever making me feel pressured. She gives her recommendations but is also respectful that, at the end of the day, pet owners have to make the decisions they feel are best for their furry family members. I've called the office more times than I can count with questions, and the front desk staff has always been patient and happy to help. I've never once felt rushed. The reason I'm finally writing this review is because of something that happened today. After my puppy's checkup, Michael called me this evening just to see how she was doing and make sure she was feeling okay after her visit. We had also talked about a book during the appointment, and he even followed up to tell me where I could find it. That kind of care is hard to find these days. This office genuinely treats my puppy like she's family, and that means everything to me. I feel very lucky to have found them.

I can’t say enough good things when recommending this office. They found my dog had an undiagnosed fractured foot that had healed incorrectly. Although it is too late to do anything about it now, at least he will not be subjected to mega doses of steroids anymore. I am happy to learn that laser treatments are offered at a reasonable price.
