Eastside Pet Clinic is our current vet, and we LOVE them! I’ve recommended them multiple times 🐾 They’re always easy to get ahold of and schedule. My shy girl, Peca, really appreciates that the lobby is quiet and not constantly crowded. And my girl Tiny Tin Can just loves everyone there!

Took our seven-year-old dog to this clinic for a tooth extraction d/t an infection. Rx Abx with a 7-day duration for the infection which seemed the correct course of action. Requested an extension of the Abx after the 7-day period before a tooth extraction was performed. Dr. Goodenough stated that continuing the Abx would be harmful and that the tooth extraction should be performed immediately. With reluctance, I allowed the procedure to be initiated. I received a phone call approx. one hour after dropping off our dog at the clinic. Dr. Goodenough stated that our dog had passed. When questioned about the reason, she informed me that our dog had stopped breathing after the initial sedation medications were administered and unsuccessful CPR commenced for 10 minutes, with an ultimate result of the dog's death. When asking for more details, Dr. Goodenough stated, "sometimes that just happens." No further explanation or details were provided after further prodding. My recommendation would be to go to a different clinic if any procedure that necessitates sedation is required from this clinic. They seem to be mostly competent with some clinical diagnostics, however, staff lacks the ability to perform medical procedures in a safe and effective manner.
