PAWS is the most professional and efficient vet practice we have ever been to-- across several states! Staff at all levels were competent, courteous, and helpful; a rare combination these days! Everyone we encountered, even a patient/pet owner in the lobby, was delightful and complimentary about his experience, reinforcing our initial impression. Consistency of efficiency and respect for everyone’s time were notable highlights. Kudos to all!

I brought my cat into your clinic on June 18th, having found a mass on his right haunch. It was suggested I see Dr. Gabriel Benitez. Dr. Benitez did 3 needle biospsies and 4 slide smears to determine whether the mass was of concern or not. Dr. Benitez said he'd be able to get me the results of the slides that day or within a short period of time. During the 2 weeks I awaited that promised call, I called several times to talk to him and was finally told that he works only 1 or 2 days per week. I expressed my frustration as I thought he or your office staff might have led with that. When he called, two weeks later, he said he didn't find anything on the slides. He also informed me I needed to pay to have the needle samples sent to the lab ( I was shocked that no one had contacted me earlier. I paid and he told me they'd take a few days to get back. After a week, I called again and asked to talk to the manager (who was extremely rude and unhelpful) but she said the results were in (no one had called me). I told her to have another DVM call me with the results and Anne called me to tell me the good news was that the samples were not cancerous. I've taken my cat to a reputable surgeon and the results are that my cat has Subcutaneous Hemangiosarcoma. The mass was cancerous! I paid nearly $600.00 and waited 3 weeks from my initial visit only to receive erroneous results. Corrections to your reply: I paid $215.50 plus $235.62...a total of $451.12. So when I said it was close to $600.00, it was. Yes, you were very nice on the phone however when you asked how you might make my experience more palatable (and asked me what it might take to take down my review) I asked to be reimbursed. You responded that a full refund was not possible but you'd check into a refund of the second charge. When you then called to ask if I'd received my refund, I was in the middle of dinner and I told you I'd check and get back to you the next day. The office said you were on vacation when I returned the call the next day and I was a bit underwhelmed to find a refund in the amount of $76.53 on my bank statement. I was told you'd return my last call but you never did...much of the problems I was experiencing from the time I first entered your clinic. Followup is something you really need to improve. Also, I never said it took the doctor 3 weeks to respond. From start to finish it took a lot more time to get the results than what I'd been told by your DVM...and I had to make all the calls in order to obtain any information...leaving multiple messages.
