My Louie was bitten by a rattlesnake at about 10 pm (of course) I live in Green Valley so I did my research and found that there were no facility's open in Green Valley at that time so I called VCA Civano Animal Hospital. They were very calm and told me to get Louie there as soon as possible. There was a storm so when I put the address on my phone it said it would take us 2 hrs and 40 minutes. So as you can imagine I started freaking out, I called VCA again and told them how long it was going to take me. They told me calm down we will be here when you get here. So I drove there we are from Washington state we moved here in November 2025 so when I got close of course I couldn't find it it was dark and raining the Lady at the desk said I'm coming outside, I am waving my arms and I found her. As soon as I brought him in they whisked him away to get his treatment started. Everyone at VCA was incredible so calm and kind. I knew right then that I had come to the right place. Louie had to stay overnight to receive his anti- venom treatments and they needed to monitor him. As soon as they knew exactly what was up the Dr. Came and discussed everything with me. All I wanted to know was, Is Louie going to live? The Dr reassured me that they were going to do everything in their power for Louie that they could. So long story short, I have my handsome boy home with me. We have a couple of after treatment appointments. Look I knew it was going to be expensive but I was and am willing to spend whatever it takes for my boy to live. That being said it was not nearly as expensive as I thought it would be. The quality of care and the attention is to detail not to mention going that extra mile was sublime!!! I recommend VCA Civano Animal Hospital to anyone who has an animal. They are true professionals from start to finish.

This center is fantastic. We used it initially when our dog had an injury to her hind leg. They ran tests and it turned out to be IVDD. Dr. Alvarez told us if we worked with her, she could walk normally again. It turned out she was able to walk normally for the rest of her life. The leg was weak, but she got around just fine. Took her walks to the end. We took our dog in a second time after she was attacked by two pit bulls. It required several stitches, and she recovered quickly. She was 13 at this time so that is no small feat. The final time was an emergency trip to put her down, just shy of her 15th birthday. The staff and vet couldn't have been more compassionate. We probably won't get another pet as Cinnamon was the best and there can be no replacing her. But I highly recommend VCA, they are absolutely fantastic there.

We were told our dog was stable and were dismissed for not having a real emergency. Never saw a veterinarian. Hopefully she lives through the night to see our regular vet in the morning.
